It seems odd that the Klingons, Cardassians etc have all fallen to the Confederation but the Vulcans, one of our closest neighbours, and more peaceful species, is still at war.

At one point Seven writes on a mirror with lipstick, however, shortly after we discover that the mirror is holographic. How, then, could she write on it.

Factoid :

Plotline

In true Star Trek Picard fashion we have a flashback.

Q explains to Picard where he is, and more importantly, who he is in this universe. The vicious General Jean-Luc Picard, who as part of the Confederation of Earth has subjugated the galaxy. He has used a virus to decimate the Klingons. Killed and beheaded Gul Dukat, General Martok, Sarek of Vulcan and Grand Nagus Zek. The Romulans are now slaves on Earth and most of this is down to him. Picard is horrified by this but refuses to play Q's game. Q tells him that it is not a game and he is free to stay there and try and wash the blood from his hands, Q departs.

He learns that today is Eradication Day, when he will kill the Borg Queen, the last of the Borg in this reality. He goes to the palace as ordered and discovers that Seven of Nine is the President of the Confederation. He also reunites with Agnes, Raffi and Elnor. Seven has contacted Rios, who was on a bombing mission to Vulcan.

The Borg Queen is able to tell them that time is fractured and she will be able to guide them to the event that caused the split into the Confederation reality, in exchange for her freedom. They begrudingly agree and she tells them that they need to time travel to 2024 and they all beam up to the CSS La Sirena. Seven's husband becomes suspicious and beams up to La Sirena with security officers. A fight ensues and Elnor is seriously injured.
